Amazing TV reporter goes viral as he reports live from Ukraine in SIX different languages

Six Languages, One Reporter- wow, now this is impressive multilingualism.

On Monday, reporter Philip Crowther used his official Twitter account to share a video of his reporting in six languages, which quickly went viral. He is now reporting on the Russia-Ukraine situation in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital.

The British-German-Luxembourgian journalist, who works for the Associated Press as an International Affiliate Correspondent, was filmed making live reporting against the backdrop of Kiev’s Freedom Square.

For news organizations throughout the world, the 41-year-old polyglot has been reporting from Kyiv on the current circumstances with Russia.

His montage has won him legions of new fans, with more than 7.1 million views and over 9,000 retweets, as well as 57,000 likes.

Viewers were stunned by his multilingualism, with one writing: ‘Amazing!’ while another added: ‘I am in awe of anyone that can speak so many languages that to my untrained ear sound fluent.’

Several viewers were not even aware that Luxembourgish was a language.  

Another joked: ‘Leave some languages for the rest of us’ and another person wrote ‘As a person who can barely speak my own language, this is very impressive.’

Others said: ‘This guy is probably some kind of part-time super spy’ and ‘You’re just brilliant.’

Another person quipped: ‘You should be getting six paychecks’ while another said ‘Okay, Luxembourgish is just showing off!’

The clip also garnered Mr. Crowther some female admirers, with one writing: ‘Oh my God is this man married?? If he’s not where can I submit my application?’

And another said: ‘I’m in love. Ech si verléift. Estoy enamorado. Eu estou apaixonado.

Mr. Crowther is a television and radio journalist based in Washington, DC. He is the son of a British father and a German mother and was born in Luxembourg.

He outlines the categories of news he covers on his website, which include US diplomacy, international policy, politics, and current affairs.

Philip has covered Democratic Party debates, Presidential debates, and Trump rallies all around the United States.

He also covers breaking international news from all over the globe.

Before moving to Washington in 2011, Mr. Crowther worked as a reporter and news anchor for France 24 in Paris.

Gunshots broke out near George Floyd Square in Minneapolis in May of last year, as Mr Crowther was making a live broadcast.

His video from the scene showed people running for cover as at least 30 shots were fired while Mr Crowther reported on the anniversary of Floyd’s death at the hands of police.

At about 10.10 a.m., police responded to a report of firing in the 3800 block of Elliot Ave. South, according to police. A vehicle was spotted driving away from the area, according to callers.

Someone was taken to Abbott Northwestern Hospital with a gunshot wound not long after. Hennepin County Medical Center was where the victim was admitted.

Mr. Crowther said afterward: ‘Very quickly things got back to normal.

‘People here who spend a significant amount of time, the organizers, were running around asking, ‘Does anyone need a medic?’
