Amber Heard says Johnny Depp refused to sign a prenuptial agreement prior to their wedding

Amber Heard alleges Johnny Depp was opposed to getting a prenuptial agreement with her, saying he said before they married that if one was offered to him, he would rip it up, in her testimony at a trial of dueling defamation lawsuits between the ex-spouses and celebrities.

“I wanted to eliminate any doubt in his mind, in other people’s minds so I brought it up to him,” she said, adding that Depp didn’t want it.

Heard has continued to make headlines this week, alleging she had to give up s*x sequences in movies owing to Depp’s jealously, as well as additional charges that her ex-husband was physically abusive toward her.

Heard, on the other hand, said during her testimony last week that Depp was “the love of her life” and recalled his “impulsive” proposal without an engagement ring.

According to CBS News, while reminiscing on her relationship with Depp, Heard said that it was she who proposed they sign a prenuptial agreement before their 2015 wedding on Depp’s private island.

Heard told the courtroom: “[Depp] said, ‘If you ever brought one up to me or if ever saw one got my hands on it I’d tear it up, any way out of this is death. The only way out of this is death.'”

The Aquaman star believes that a prenuptial agreement will “remove suspicion or doubt” and make going forward in the relationship “easier.”

She alleges, however, that Depp took her proposal as an indication that she intended to end their relationship.

“[Depp said], ‘Are you already thinking of how you’re getting out of this? Are you already planning to get out of this, you’re already planning on leaving?’ That was around the same time as moving in together a conversation. He accused me of having one foot out,” Heard testified.

Of course, Heard’s version of events differs significantly from Depp’s evidence, in which he claimed that it was Heard who “went into a tailspin” over his lawyers’ offer of a post-nuptial agreement.

“[Heard] kept saying, ‘I’m not even in your will. I’m not even in your will,'” Depp told the court. “I thought that was an odd thing to say. Especially since I don’t think anybody had had time to change wills or anything of that nature.”

Heard believed Depp was attempting to “trick” her, according to Depp. Heard filed for divorce after 15 months of marriage. In 2016, their marriage became legally binding.

On May 16, Heard will continue her evidence and will be cross-examined by her ex-husband’s lawyers.
