Fashion Designer Branded ‘Bad Mum’ Responds To Claims She’s Turned Her Baby Into A ‘Thug’

Shamekia Morris, a fashion designer, has been slammed for putting fake ink tattoos all over her 1-year-old baby and is being called a bad mum for raising his child as a ‘gangster’ and a ‘thug’.  She had been posting pictures of her baby on social media with his new tattoos, where she said she loved the eye-catching effect the temporary transfers had on him.

Morris’ son would ‘get shot down in the streets’ if he spent his life covered in tattoos, according to internet critics.

Morris spoke to the Love Don’t Judge show about the hatred she experienced and encouraged those who accused her of turning her young son into a ‘thug’ to be more empathetic.

She said: “The backlash has been horrible. It hurts my feelings because I know I’m not a bad mum and I get called all types of names. It’s crazy.

“If you’re judging someone off of a 30-second video on social media that’s your business, but what you say or think about someone isn’t going to determine what they’re going to be in the future.

A tattoo loving mother is being slammed online for putting fake ink designs all over her one-year-old baby - with critics accusing her of raising him to be a 'gangster' and a 'thug'

“For the people that judge me, I don’t care because this is a lifestyle that we enjoy.”

Morris’s family was initially against the decision because they dislike tattoos, but they have since come around to support her after seeing how ‘it turned out to be a great thing.’

She appreciates her family’s support and is attempting not to take the criticism personally because she and her son enjoy his temporary tattoos, which she claims ‘kids really love.’

The mom said people 'bullied her' online, writing that her 'baby was going to be born with a whole bunch of tattoos' or that he was going 'to have skin poison'

Besides, the tattoos are only transfers that fade with time, so they won’t be a permanent part of his life until he’s old enough to make his own decisions.

With his mother posting regular Instagram updates on her son’s clothes and her TikTok account gathering over 300,000 followers, the family is hoping that a positive impact on social media would help give baby Treylin a better future.
