Depp filed a defamation suit against Heard after she penned an op-ed on surviving domestic abuse.

The jury determined that she defamed him by erroneously implying that he had assaulted her.

After deductions, Heard was ordered to pay Depp $8 million. She has now stated that she is unable to pay.

The ruling, according to Heard, is a setback for domestic abuse victims. She said that it simply demonstrated Depp’s power and celebrity and that he abused her during their brief marriage.
