On Wednesday in New York City, the 37-year-old attorney talked fondly of her famous client, just after appearing on the Today Show to discuss the high-profile case.
As she was taken to her car outside the NBC studios in a blush dress, Vasquez enthusiastically posed for photos with admirers and gently answered questions.
Vasquez revealed her plans to rejoin with the Pirates of the Caribbean star, who has been touring the UK with English musician Jeff Beck since late May, and fellow barrister Ben Chew.

During the six-week trial in which a jury awarded Depp $15 million in damages in his defamation claim against ex-girlfriend Amber Heard, Vasquez became a star in his own right.
When asked if she was a fan of Depp’s music, Vasquez replied, “Yes. Yes, of course, we are!’ before getting into a black SUV and driving off.
Previously, the California native, who joined Depp’s legal team as an associate, was beaming as she thanked fans outside for their congratulations on her new promotion.
Vasquez made a name for herself in the courtroom during the six-week trial with her outstanding performance.
Benjamin Chew, a lawyer at Brown Rudnick, oversaw Depp’s team, which included nine additional attorneys.
With her ferocious cross-examination of Amber Heard and her closing comments before the jury, Vasquez became a significant figure in the case, branding the actress as the true perpetrator.
During the trial, Depp’s admirer posted images of herself wearing “I heart Camille Vasquez” t-shirts and memes showing her as the Norse deity of Thunder and Marvel depicted the character Thor.
Brown Meanwhile, Rudnick has publicly lauded Vasquez’s accomplishments, revealing on Tuesday that she has been promoted to partner at the business.
Since the completion of Closing Arguments in May, Depp, 58, has been seen performing in gigs across the UK with English rock musician Jeff Beck.
After supporters praised her on her new promotion, the California native, who joined Depp’s legal team as an associate, beamed and thanked them.
‘We are pleased to announce that Camille Vasquez has been made a partner. She was a key member of the trial team that won a verdict for actor Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard last week,” the firm said in a statement.
Chairman William Baldiga noted that the law firm typically promotes partners when the fiscal year ends.
“But Camille’s performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she was ready to take that next step now. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to what she will achieve as our newest partner,” added Baldiga.
In a statement on her promotion, Vasquez said, “I am pleased that Brown Rudnick has shown his full confidence in me by including me in the partnership.”
Vasquez and Chew had their first television interviews regarding the high-profile defamation case on Today, Good Morning America, and then the Law & Crime network – which carried the six-week trial without interruption – earlier on Wednesday.
They expressed their delight at Depp’s victory, saying he ‘hasn’t smiled like this in six years,’ referring to the time when his difficulties with Heard began.
They also attacked Heard’s assertion that she lost the trial because he is more powerful and popular than she is, calling the claim “utterly ridiculous” and claiming that the jury just didn’t like her because she, unlike Johnny, “didn’t take ownership for anything.”
He might even waive the $8 million judgment Amber was forced to pay him, according to the duo. Her lawyers claim she can’t pay it, and she announced Wednesday that she intends to appeal.
‘This was never about money for Mr. Depp,’ Depp’s counsel replied when asked if they would waive the judgment. It was all about repairing his reputation, which he has done.
The high-profile lawyer’s tender interactions with Depp in the courtroom had led to wild speculation that the relationship might go deeper than that of a solicitor-client – and Vasquez only fueled the rumors by giggling shyly when asked.
