At Wednesday’s haute couture presentation by Balenciaga at Paris Fashion Week, Nicole Kidman made her catwalk debut and received online roasting by the users.

The 55-year-old Oscar winner caught everyone’s attention when she walked the catwalk alongside reality star Kim Kardashian and supermodel Naomi Campbell wearing a one-shoulder silver dress with a midriff and a pair of opera gloves.

Fans were more interested in the Stepford Wives actress’ stiff, robotic walking manner, though.

At her first catwalk appearance at Balenciaga’s design show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday, Nicole Kidman receives internet abuse.

One critic tweeted, ‘I could have sworn I’ve seen Nicole Kidman walk like a human before, but you wouldn’t know that from the Balenciaga runway she just did.

‘Why [are] They were walking as if they had risen from their graves,’ another added, referring to both Kidman and Kardashian.

‘If you thought Kim’s walking was weird, please go and see Nicole Kidman’ [crying emoji]’ someone else tweeted.

Fans were commenting about the Stepford Wives actress’ stiff, robotic walking manner.

Many people drew attention to the obvious contrast between Kidman’s catwalk skills and that of veteran model Naomi Campbell, who had never walked a runway.

Kidman joined the catwalk that featured celebrities like Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, Naomi, Kim, and Naomi.

The Hours star was mocked for her now-famous “seal clap” at the Oscars in 2017 and her eyebrow-raising catwalk appearance came five years later.

Following fans’ discovery of his peculiar clapping pattern, a video of the ceremony quickly went viral.

However other users came to her defense, with a tweet: ‘Everyone is talking about Nicole and Kim walking like hello, they’re not models like Naomi’

Kidman’s fingers were spread awkwardly as she applauded the winners, with only the heels of her hands visible to make contact.

Speaking to the Kyle and Jackie O Show weeks later, Moulin Rouge! The star laughed at the incident and explained why she didn’t want her fingers to touch.

Kidman said she didn’t want to damage the 119-carat diamonds on her hands, including a 13.58-carat pearl-sized diamond ring in platinum.

“It was really weird, and I was like, ‘God, I really want to clap,’” she said.

Kim was also mocked for walking the runway, with many saying it was too similar to Nicole.

Kidman’s eyebrow-raising catwalk appearance comes five years after she was ridiculed for her now-infamous ‘seal clap’ at the Oscars in 2017.
