Johnny Depp to star as the French king as he arrives in Paris to film the first movie since winning the defamation trial

Since winning his defamation case against Amber Heard, Johnny Depp has been spotted leaving for Paris to begin filming his first movie. The first movie project Depp has worked on after his well-publicized defamation victory over Amber Heard earlier this month was the announcement that he has been cast as Louis XV of France in Maiwenn’s film.

On Monday, June 27, the actor arrived in Paris and was taken to his hotel by security.

According to Metro, Maiwenn’s movie, which is currently named Jeanne du Barry on IMDb, will shoot over the course of the next three months in the Palace of Versailles and other locations in and around Paris.

Despite being accused of corruption and immoral behavior toward the conclusion of his 59-year reign, Louis XV died in unfavorable circumstances. Jeanne du Barry, Louis XV’s final mistress, will be portrayed by Maiwenn.

Following a Virginia jury’s decision that Heard, the actor’s ex-wife, must pay him $15 million in damages for domestic abuse charges she made in a 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post, which they agreed defamed Depp, Depp touched down in Paris a few weeks ago.

Later, the charges were limited to $10.35 million, and Heard was given $2 million in damages via a counterclaim in a separate judgment.

However, on June 24, Depp and Heard’s legal teams were unable to strike a last-minute agreement. Heard’s legal team has indicated that she will likely appeal the decision, which would bring them both back into court.

And while Depp is getting ready to play a brand-new part, Captain Jack Sparrow is one character whose shoes we won’t be seeing him fill anytime soon.

Johnny Depp is seen leaving his hotel to go to the airport after spending a few days incognito in the French capital Paris.

Depp appeared to affirm this week that he won’t ever make another appearance in the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

The actor’s rep has dismissed the rumors that he will be making a comeback, telling NBC that they were “made up.”

The remarks made by Depp’s agent were in response to a Pop Topic post that stated Disney was “hopeful” Depp would reprise the role and had been given $301 million to do so.

Johnny Depp, who has established himself as the face of the successful franchise, last portrayed Jack Sparrow in 2017’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge.

Two more Pirates movies, one of which purportedly will feature Margot Robbie, are in development, but the 59-year-old actor isn’t involved in any of them.

Johnny Depp could return as Captain Jack for the ‘Pirates’ role with a $301M deal as per a report

Johnny Depp could be getting ready to walk the plank again as Captain Jack Sparrow. A recent report claims that there are rumors Disney is negotiating a “$301 million agreement” with the actor for a sixth Pirates of the Caribbean movie and spinoff series.

The alarming information, according to reports, was disclosed in a recent interview with Poptopic, an Australian newspaper. According to reports, the shocking information was revealed in a recent interview with Poptopic, an Aussie outlet Poptopic.

Johnny Depp portrays Captain Jack Sparrow in a scene from "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."

“The deal is reportedly for Johnny Depp to return as Jack Sparrow,” the little leaking birdie claimed to the Down Under entertainment website.

Disney dropped the 59-year-old “Donnie Brasco” actor from the sixth and final “Pirates” film after Heard’s 36-year-old Washington Post op-ed, which Depp claimed falsely accused him of being a domestic abuser. Depp had starred as the dashing buccaneer in five “Pirates” films over the previous 19 years. The “Edward Scissorhands” icon reportedly missed out on a $22.5 million paycheck as a result.

Depp’s victory in a highly publicized defamation lawsuit earlier this month, though, suggests that the House of Mouse would be open to rehiring him in the legendary part.

“Disney is very interested in patching up their relationship with Johnny Depp,” the source alleged to Poptopic. “They reached out to the actor prior to his defamation trial against Amber Heard and asked whether he would be interested in returning for another ‘Pirates’ film or two.”

The E! network said that a source close to the actor informed NBC News that “this is made up,” although Depp and Disney’s representatives have not yet responded to The Post’s request for confirmation.

Depp will supposedly “return as Jack Sparrow in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 6’ and a spin-off Disney+ series on the early life of the Captain of the Black Pearl,” per the source, as part of the rumored comeback agreement, which is apparently worth a cool $301 million.

Depp Trial Forever: Johnny Gets $301M to Reprise Jack Sparrow Role?

“What I can tell you is that the studio has already penned up a draft for a film about Jack Sparrow, so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character,” the source claimed.

The latest information comes after an unnamed Disney executive made a suggestion that the “Finding Neverland” star would don Captain Jack Sparrow’s tricorn hat once more after winning his defamation case.

“I absolutely believe post-verdict that ‘Pirates’ is primed for rebooting with Johnny as Capt. Jack back on board,” the source said in an interview with People magazine earlier this month. “There is just too much potential box-office treasure for a beloved character deeply embedded in the Disney culture,” they added.

In his defamation action against Heard earlier this month, Depp won more than $10 million. Heard was found accountable by a jury in Fairfax, Virginia for defaming Depp. However, the jury only gave Heard $2 million in damages after finding that one of Depp’s attorneys had slandered her.

Nevertheless, the “Aquaman” actress reportedly intends to appeal after she and Depp’s lawyers were unable to reach a deal on Friday.

Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez flashes a smile ahead of the meeting at the UBS building in New York City

Camille Vasquez, Johnny Depp’s attorney, gave a big smile for the cameras as she was photographed in New York City on Tuesday.

Vasquez  entered the UBS building in Midtown Manhattan for a meeting after successfully defending Depp  in the high-profile defamation case against Amber Heard. Vasquez has become something of a celebrity in her own right as a result.

Vasquez, who has gained a celebrity status of her own since she defended Depp to victory in the blockbuster defamation trial against Amber Heard

As a member of her security opened the car door for her and held her hand as she exited onto the sidewalk, Vasquez was beaming.

It happens the day before a meeting between Depp’s legal team and Amber Heard’s attorneys to work out the last-minute details of his $8 million defamation judgement against the actress.

The sighting occurs as the deadline for a resolution of Depp and Heard’s defamation action approaches. In order to determine if a settlement can be made, the celebrities’ attorneys will meet in court on Friday.

Depp and Heard will be required to pay each other their imposed damages if they are unable to reach an arrangement by tomorrow. Trial Judge Penney Azcarate will submit the jury’s judgement on June 1.

The June judgement concluded that both celebrities had defamed one another, although Depp’s hand was far more favourable.

While Heard only received $2 million in damages from Depp, he received $10.35 million from her. Heard owed Depp a hefty $8.35 million in total.

Her bodyguard accompanying her wore a magnificent mullet and mustache, and kept an umbrella at the ready amidst the overcast day

Heard later acknowledged via her attorney that she was unable to pay those millions in damages, and a day after the verdict, her legal team announced that Heard would be appealing the decision.

Her stance on the situation has subsequently changed, though, and rumours are circulating that she intends to write a “tell-all” book to make money to cover the damages.

Heard was allegedly “broke” and unable to refuse money, according to a source close to her.

After a terrible few months, they claimed she “considers her career in Hollywood gone” and “had nothing to lose.”

Benjamin Chew, a lawyer for Depp, said that a settlement would be an option.

Chew said earlier this month on Good Morning America that Depp would consent to forego seeking damages from Heard in exchange for her declining to file an appeal.

‘We obviously can’t disclose any attorney-client communications, but as Mr. Depp testified, and as we both made clear in our respective closings, this was never about money for Mr. Depp,’ said Chew.

‘This was about restoring his reputation, and he’s done that.’

Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez helps an elderly man having medical emergency on plane

Attorney Camille Vasquez has been praised and called a real-life ‘wonder-woman’ for her heroic actions in the court and now on the airplane. Recently while traveling from LA to New York City, an elderly man on the American Airlines flight collapsed and hit his head hard while walking past Vasquez and her bodyguard seated in the first class. She jumped into the action and rushed to the man’s aid.

TMZ reports that Johnny Depp’s 37-year-old lawyer allegedly sprung into action and attended to the man. Additionally, passengers on the aircraft revealed that Vasquez got in touch with her medical brother-in-law.

As her bodyguard removed his Apple watch to check the old man’s heart rate, the doctor-led Vasquez through a series of steps to see if the passenger had suffered any brain bleeding as a result of the accident or if he was having a heart attack.

Vasquez made partner after Depp's win.

When a surgeon was found on board the aircraft and was able to assist the elderly passenger, the emergency was soon resolved.

The airplane then diverted back and returned to Los Angeles, where medical personnel was waiting for the man, who had subsequently recovered consciousness, to be led off the aircraft and transferred to a medical care.

According to an American Airlines representative who confirmed the incident to TMZ, another flight attendant gave Vasquez two bottles, of champagne, and Merlot, and called her a “wonder woman” for her fast action in helping the passenger.

After successfully representing the 59-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor in the well-reported defamation trial against 36-year-old Amber Heard on June 1, the attorney rose to fame this year.

Vasquez expressed her gratitude for all the support she has received since taking on the role of the Hollywood actress during an interview she gave on Good Morning America on June 8.

She said: “It’s been surreal. If I’m being honest, a bit overwhelming. But if I can be an inspiration to young women who want to go to law school and study and work hard, then I’m all for it.”

Vasquez

The day before Depp’s team and Amber Heard’s attorneys meet to discuss the specifics of Depp’s $10 million defamation victory against his ex-wife, Vasquez’s heroic save also occurred.

According to the Daily Mail, if the parties are unable to reach an agreement by tomorrow (June 25), trial judge Penney Azcarate will file the jury’s judgment, which would oblige both parties to pay the other party’s order damages.

Depp was given a $15 million damage award, but owing to a Virginia state law issue, the sum was eventually lowered to $10.35 million. She received $2 million after he was convicted responsible for one count of defaming Heard.
